Purpose
Course is designed to help students improve public speaking skills. Students will develop the ability to write and give well organized, informative, and entertaining presentations. Students will also develop their ability to speak effectively by focusing on areas that affect clear and comprehensible oral communication, such as pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, etc. Students will also engage in tasks that help to build a more visual presentation. After students have completed coursework in some of their other art related classes, their final presentations will include presenting artwork of famous artists and then finally their own artwork.

Final examination consists of the Final Presentation (Oral) and Final written quiz.
Grade Policy
Participation 30%Presentations 25%Midterm, Final Quizzes 20%Final Presentation 25%Testing Methods: Students will be given periodic presentation assignments which require writing and revising presentation essay, preparing visuals, and using the pronunciation and presentation skills learned in class. Grading will be based on how well students prepare and utilize the information learned in class.Students will also be given written quizzes which review the information from the textbook and pronunciation activities.
